With a degree in music and production, Shannon continues to develop and challenge the conventional perception of drumming in the industry. He is also credited with creating the Aggressive Percussion subgenre of music. His work as the director of the MNET Music special "PLAY IT TO BREAK IT" and producer of the dance record "PERCUSSIVE HOUSE GROOVES" has been recognised with two South African Music Award nominations.
He has played in more than 25 nations, worked with many international big artists, including Katy Perry, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fat Boy Slim, Goo Goo Dolls, Westlife, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Live, Peter Gabriel, Ja Rule, Korn, and more, and served as their opening act.
