Featuring lead singer Shama, who has previously toured in South America, the Caribbean, West Africa, United States, Europe, and the UK, this dynamic 8–9 piece band brings together influences from the Bhangra, Bollywood, Urban, and World Fusion music circuits to deliver the highest quality Bollywood music in action–packed performances. Anup Jalota, Sukhwinder Singh, Nitin Mukesh, and Mangal Singh are just a few of the Bollywood musicians she has shared the stage with. Shama is the only performer from the UK to have performed four years in a row at the famous Diwali on Trafalgar Square celebrations. Over 30,000 people attend this event each year.
In addition to their usual band activities, the band has performed with well-known UK artists like Mangal Singh, Shin DCS, Taz Stereo Nation, and Channi Singh (Alaap). In the following weeks, they will also support the Indian Idol finalists at a number of performances.

Shama, who was born in Libya, has strong ties to her Indian heritage. a talented and varied singer who has entertained audiences all over the world since she was a young child. Shama developed her own voice and style after receiving vocal instruction from Smt. Swati Natekar and Smt. Krishna Chakraborty.
Shama is the only Asian female musician in the UK who has had two long-running, commercially successful bands. She established herself as a household celebrity in 1994 when she embarked on a world tour with the well-known band Shama and Friends, thrilling crowds for the following 15 years in the UK, the Caribbean, West Africa, United States, South America, and the Caribbean. Since 2009, her second band has been playing shows and releasing music. In 2010, Shama made her lyric writing debut by writing the lyrics for Maahi, the first song produced by 515 Productions. Diljaani, Baarish, and Jogan soon followed. Jogan, a song by Shama, entered the iTunes World Music Top Ten on the first day.
